The funding for the HealthVantage Wellness Program is not paid through District operating fund dollars. All funding comes from the federal government by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) through their Retiree Drug Subsidy Program. In early 2008, the School Board approved the use of these funds for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Employee Wellness Program.
